  1. In order to drive, you have to have a license, pass a driving test, and prove that you know basic knowledge about signs and road safety. The same should be true for buying a gun. You should have to get a background check to prove that you don't have a history of being up to no good.

  2. He and the vile GOP don't want universal background checks because they get paid by the NRA to oppose that because the NRA makes more money when more guns are sold.

  3.  @stephanielewis5595  Cars have gotten much, much safer over the decades with seatbelts, airbags, and crumple zones such that you're more likely to live if you get in a car crash.
