  1. I agree with Obama on this. Defund the police is being portrayed as meaning that police won’t be there if your house gets robbed, even if that’s not what is meant. Many voters think that that is what’s meant. Democrats should not run on defund the police, but they should instead run on reform the police. That’s much harder to portray in a bad manner.
