  1. He's trying to appeal to his bigoted base hoping that that's enough. Meanwhile, his base is shrinking, he hasn't gained any new supporters, and more and more of Gen Z are eligible to vote. We all must vote, but all of that combined with sky-high Democrat turnout is a losing recipe.
