Competent leadership makes all the difference, and we have that now unlike with Trump. I also plan to get vaccinated as soon as possible, and I think we'll exceed his goal of 100,000,000 doses by the end of April.

Trump's plan was to politicize and downplay the virus and politicize wearing a mask, encouraging the injection of disinfectant, and not buying more doses of the vaccine. It can only be described as a failure.

@juju8470 We have competent leadership. We didn't have that under Trump, and that makes a difference.

Yes, but even with the lower effectiveness, Johnson and Johnson's is still relatively high, doesn't have to be stored in freezers, and only requires one dose, so it has some advantages.

They'll claim that Democrats manufactured the virus in a lab, Democrat policies to deal with the virus are socialism, taking your freedoms away, etc.

@charmedfan8571 No vaccine has been approved for those younger than 16. There needs to be trials for that first, and I think that they have started or are going to start soon.

@stephanielewis5595 So, do you consider politicizing the virus and mask wearing, not ordering additional doses that Pfizer offered, and encouraging the injection of disinfectant as competent leadership? I don't.
4
@charmedfan8571 He never said that, and neither did I. He promised 100,000,000 doses by the end of April, a promise which he'll meet and exceed.

@stephanielewis5595 I'll take my 95% chance of getting immunity from the vaccine.

@stephanielewis5595 That's not the right death rate. The actual death rate is 2.634% in the United States (18,979,409 resolved (recovered or died) cases, 499,991 deaths), but it's not just about dying. Even if you get it and live, COVID can still cause long term health consequences.

@jeremygregorio7472 So do I, but if given the choice between Johnson and Johnson or no vaccine, I'll take Johnson and Johnson. I'm wondering what future mRNA vaccines will hit the market because this mRNA vaccine has been successful so far.

@stephanielewis5595 Do I want to go to the hospital? The answer is no, and even if you get COVID-19 after being vaccinated, the case is less severe, and it likely keeps you out of the hospital.
