  3. ​@Masters Of Moore While you have to have voted either in person or by mail (either postmarked or received on or before the day of the election depending on the state for by mail votes) on or before the day of the election, counting them up and reporting the totals happen after. While teachers have a due date for assignments, and it usually isn't counted if it's late unless there's a really good reason, you don't get the score immediately because it takes them time to grade it.

  5. This varies by state, but in many states, ballots have to be received by Election Day to be counted. In others, they can be postmarked by Election Day and still count. That's why you shouldn't mail your ballot now because it's too late. It should be that any ballot that gets postmarked on or before Election Day should count.
