I think we need to reconcile with violence. I'm not gonna be the one to do it, and most of us are not gonna do it either. But what I mean is we should not shame those who take violent actions in order to fight our same enemies. Violence is what induces fear. Violence is what they use with absolute impunity. Maybe if we had that tool too they would fear us like we have no choice but to fear them for our lives. I remember during a Gilets Jaunes protest in Paris they interviewed a random citizen to ask her to -- ONCE AGAIN -- disavow the violence from a 1-2% portion of the protestors, casually allowed (if not encouraged and fostered) by the police. Back then her answer shocked me, now it makes all the sense in the world. She thanked the violent protesters. Because if it weren't for them, the police would have injured a lot more non-violent protesters. I am not kidding. We need to reconcile with violence. These are violent times. Trust me: the disparity between your bank account and Jeff Bezos's in "the land of the free" is violent. Leave the violence to those who want to engage in it. And don't stop them in the process. Some of them might have already saved your lives.
