  2. Hermes drivers are self-employed. DPD drivers work within a franchise system. Not much chance of that happening, is there? Amazon are no better. If you want a job with a reasonable wage, you have to be self-employed now. Corporate America has reached Europe at last – see the results for yourself.

  3. Same here – but Amazon have done the same. The computerised delivery system told me that I was going to receive a parcel that day, but that was three hours after I had received it.

The first Hermes driver I have received a parcel from was the white boy in the mustard coloured van – after that it was an Asian woman, followed by her Asian son, followed by an old white man, now I have an Asian young man who can hardly speak English. That’s in the period of about three years. What a great delivery service.
