Scaling it? They haven't made a single battery of any size at all yet. Not one. Scaling something that doesn't exist is the equivalent of multiplying by zero.

Not "isolating". The word is "insulating".

There isn't the slightest evidence to support the claim, given that not a single battery has been built using this technology.

if you make a claim about something breaking the laws of physics, then all it shows is that you don't understand physics.

So..........theoretical only........ The lab hasn't even replicated the results themselves, yet, let alone anyone else doing it. Hmmmm. Excuse me if I don't get too excited until there are actually a few of these things actually working and providing real-life data. Cut it out with the "breakthrough battery like this" when there isn't even one single working example.

@gigakrait5648 Fun? I guess so. It's a bit scary, though, to think that so many people are incapable of thinking.

It would be handy if everyone would use the same terminology. "Geothermal" properly means a system of boreholes down hundreds if not thousands of metres through which cold water is pumped and steam emerges to power turbines for generating electricity. These are common in areas of high volcanic activity such as Iceland. Domestic heat pump arrangements with a loop of pipe in the ground or in boreholes for providing low grade heat for space heating are correctly known as "ground source heat pumps". It's pretty annoying that the confusion is being perpetrated by Youtube clips like this, and in some parts of the world this terminological inexactitude seems to have become ubiquitous.
