  2. I don't think there will be a rush for Luhansk and Donestsk. These are massive cities which will be extremely well defended. Just take the ground around them and isolate them, as Ukraine has been doing throughout the counteroffensive.

  4.  @marcbush2796  No. No referenda is Ukraine, because that would imply that at some point these places WEREN'T Ukrainian. You wouldn't ask Yorkshire if it were part of England, or New Jersey if it were part of the USA.

  6. And of course Russia doesn't hold all of any of them. It only holds half of Zaphorizizhia, for instance, and the part it doesn't hold includes the capital city.
