OK, I'll bite. What lie did they tell?

Oh dear, having a bad day, troll?

@tylerkochman1007 It doesn't matter what they're talking about...it's nonsense. Officials are Public Servants: unelected. MPs (politicians) are elected, and are NOT officials.
3
You haven't been following events, have you, troll. They got hammered, and isolated.
3
They some artillery, but no clear supply lines. You've not been following how this works, have you. Russians are shelling at less than 10% of the rate they were 4 months ago, because their supply lines and their ammo dumps have been constantly destroyed. So yeah, they can try shelling, but the Ukrainian counter-battery set up and their air force will have them out of there in fairly short order.

Jess Phillips is comfortably the best candidate, so of course, they'll never elect her.
2
Or the complete opposite. Agricultural subsidies drove us to the wheat and butter mountains and so on, and encouraged the intensive farming that left our landscape the way it is now.
2
Huh? There's still a huge amount of territory in Russian hands. There's plenty more work for the Ukrainian armed services yet.

@IDontWantAHandle101 You've clearly never seen a combine harvester at work.

What does "indigenous English" mean, and can you demonstrate that this group, whoever they are, are facing greater levels of homelessness than non-indigenous English?

@IvarDaigon Brexit was decided in a referendum. What are you suggesting.......that the government should have ignored the result of a massive democratic process simply because it didn't like the outcome? Really? Did you think that through?
1
You want democracy......then you take what democracy throws at you.
1
Josh I see the level of debate in the Labour party has risen to new heights.
1
Nope. That's a figment of your imagination and your biases.
1
There is no such thing as "elected officials".
1
@tylerkochman1007 Which country are you from? Because here in Britain, you are completely and utterly wrong. An official is a state employee, NOT an elelcted politician.

Having a bad day, troll?

Your democratic system is riven with extremists, and has a culture of incredible rudeness and poor-quality debating. If you think anyone aspires to an Aussie -style democracy, you are very much mistaken.
1
Who, the Lords? If you think that you are truly ignorant. That is one of the most ridiculous statements I've seen in days. It's full of world class architects, doctors, lawyers, teachers, musicians, scientists, philosophers, engineers......and on and on. It's the Commons which is somewhat short of those with professional skills, and would be even more deprived if the silly ban-on-second-jobs idea is carried out.
1
The reason we have a House of Lords is so that the democratic will of the people can be enacted, without interference, but with oversight. Like the monarchy, the Lords is such a ridiculous institution that it lacks any legitimacy, and so can't ultimately derail the will of the Commons. It corrects, and occasionally challenges, but within certain constraints it can't actually force its views onto the Commons. Add democratic legitimacy into the upper chamber and you will just get endless US-style fights between the two chambers. Calls for an elected upper chamber are ill-thought out, in my view. Reform the Lords (in all sorts of ways, but in particular by an enormous cull and a permanent size limit), but don't replace it with an elected upper chamber. That would be a recipe for a permanent deadlock.
1
Just keep on telling yourself that, troll. You're getting kicked out of everywhere, but right, Ukraine didn't do it, obviously. You idiots don't even believe this stuff yourselves.....
