I think you may have over-stated the shipping shut down of Crimea. There are numerous ports and ferries operating across the Sea of Azov to Crimea, and they are well outside the reach of the Ukrainians at present, unfortunately. You have also over-stated the effects of the water supply from Nova Khakovkha being turned off, because that is exactly the situation that pertained from 2014 until earlier this year. Yes, it was a real nuisance for the Russians in Crimea, but it didn't cause famine. Finally, I believe you have overlooked the railway line through Tokmak as a source of supplies to southern Kherson. Personally, if I were king for a day, I'd focus my forces on Tokmak initially, whilst also running in from the Kinburn Peninsular, behind the defence lines the Russians have recently set up on the south bank. I'll be so bold as to say that if Ukraine makes it to Melitopol then the entirety of the Russian effort in Ukraine will collapse, bar mopping up operations.
