  7. And that's the main benefit of it: people stopping to believe phantom ideas. In addition, whoever made that decision probably does not even understand how much long term benefit could it bring to Russia. There were no new general-purpose OS on the global market since 1990s, financial oligopoly and reaganomics kill any long-term development. Windows NT (based on VMS core) and Unix family have a long history since 1960-s. There is no way an army of brokers could invest in a project 50 years long... unless there is no other way to do it.

  11.  @FrankHarwald  nope. Sanctions are one of the measures to split the world into multiple poles, which is a matter of survival for most of the ruling elites. Nobody is going to be able to revert that.
