@refundreplay There’s a lot more nuance in the Bible than that, but I guess it’s a fair point. Individual soldiers are not acting under their own free will, so are not morally responsible. Supporting the troops does not necessarily mean supporting wars or the government that gets us involved in them

@refundreplay what are you, a minister of the universal life church at getordained.org? If you were a real minister you would know that God himself commanded numerous old testament wars to be fought in his name.. Ecclesiastes: “a time for war and a time for peace.”…. Jesus even heals a centurions servant and says there is no one in Israel who has more faith and that he will go to heaven.. John’s spiritual advice to a group of soldiers isn’t to lay down their swords but “be content with your pay”…
