seems like its been months where i am
2
saw a field on fire earlier today in Pumpkin Center, thankfully fire dept. was showing up right as I was about to call
2
they also said it came in from the plumbing which is unusual
2
@CalvinKaiKu Well very wet welcome to Louisiana! You are officially initiated into the krewe! I started calling this back-ache season because of all the hard work that goes into preparing and then cleaning up afterwards. Messed my SI joint moving tree logs after Ida. Working on cleaning up a tree in Ponchatoula this week.. its never exactly fun, but it can be great to see the humanity come out in everyone who shows up to lend a hand. Best of luck with insurance and all that ✌️
2
or what a reptile man would say
2
i didn’t get his “blessing” joke?
2
it removes the water from the salt.. salt left in the pot.. water vapor has to be condensed back into fresh water.. pretty energy/labor intensive process to do at home
2
this is long overdue... so exhausting being the caretaker of a partner with an immune disorder while idiots run around basically actively trying to kill her. She has only left the house once in 4 months (for a doctors appointment) and it’s like we are being imprisoned by the stupidity of those around us. I still have to work and go to stores, and whenever I encounter somebody without a mask coughing or something it is so disheartening and feels like “i hope this isn’t the one that finally spreads it to us and ends everything”. The fact that it is a political thing for these people is insane. Some of us just want to keep living our lives with the people we love after this has passed. Stop being dicks and wear your freaking masks

We were in the city for some early Mardi Gras parades this weekend and the vibe is kind of tense. My wife and I were tailed by some rough looking characters who we had changed directions to avoid while walking back to our hotel from the parade. They only stopped after I made it clear we knew they were following us. Last time I was in the city before that we were almost mugged at City Park but a group of people walked by who we were able to run over to. Not really fun having to look over your shoulders constantly. The city needs to do something or we will stop bringing our money there

racist
2
what i worry about is all the woody debris tree removal contractors have dammed our drainage ditches with… its completely asinine
2
adults use public libraries too
2
also, in what world have you ever called the police and they get there in time to stop the actual crime? This would happen regardless of police funding
2
people are getting desperate and it will continue to get worse.. people out of work with so many businesses closing.. no govt relief..
2
@Wardell43 antidepressants dont make most people murder children..
2
global warming..
2
You mean to tell me he is the billionaire CEO of a multinational corporation?
2
they didn’t say it was a teacher, just a school employee.. could be a janitor or anything
2
you don’t have a “right” to carry a loaded gun in someone else’s business... it’s a safety protocol. How can the store owner know if a patron is experienced with safe handling of a firearm or whether or not they intend to rob the store?

I have noticed the same exact thing with the TX plates and they drive very differently too which is what caused me to begin taking notice.. I have talked to multiple people about it and they hadnt noticed, so glad to see im not the only one.. definitely odd. Its possible that people are just registering their vehicles in TX for cheaper insurance, but that would require them to fraudulently establish permanent residency in Texas. And it doesn’t make sense for Texans to be moving to Louisiana in huge numbers because, statistically, people are more likely to leave Louisiana for better opportunities elsewhere… If they are simply migrants then how are they affording brand new $100,000 pickup trucks? I have puzzled over this a lot because its very curious, especially with how suddenly this phenomenon appeared.
2
Almondo Meyer oh i still have to wear safety glasses too, but started covering the rest of my face when a rock hit me in the front teeth. I use those face shields people wear fishing to prevent wind/sunburn which you can get in big packs for cheap online, but i have gotten nicer ones at Academy. They seem to cut down on the black dust boogers that build up by the end of the day lmao.. fun fact: lawn care work is one of the highest risk factor jobs for respiratory illness because of the small motor exhaust and dust!
2
Not at all since he was only making the point that the new marker is meant to bring awareness to people who don’t know the history…

north and south Carolina are collectively known as “the Carolinas”..

@billybrown7953 from Oxford dictionary… Republic: a state in which supreme power is held by the people and their ELECTED representatives, and which has an ELECTED or nominated president rather than a monarch… Democracy: a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through ELECTED representatives.

the language makes the morning after pill, IUD birth control, and in vitro fertilization “murder”… CRAZY! This is just straight up radical extremism… you could just ban abortion.. but no you have to go out of your way to make the law as extreme as possible. Why? What point are you trying to make? If women cant take morning after pill, they can be impregnated against their will and have zero power to stop the pregnancy.. this isnt just wrong its SICK
1
oh joy…
1
its a desk job bruh
1
stop using “jobs” to push death on us! All kinds of businesses/industry the state could draw besides toxic chemical plants… but will require taxes to fund workforce education, etc.. failure of Louisiana school system is a major issue holding back our economy. We some dumb muh fuhs
1
except that the over-policing of minority communities has broken apart families across numerous generations which then exacerbates poverty, which then leads to more people resorting to crime to get by.

1
don’t come here to the north shore we don’t want y’alls corona
1
There weren’t even Democrat candidates for many elected positions in a lot of these parishes… i know that was the case on my ballot.. maybe the right wing extremism has gotten to the point that people are afraid to let their political views be known.. or just realize its futile to resist the rising tide of ignorance. Happy to pay these outrageous 10% sales tax, but throw a fit if the chemical plant giving you cancer has to pay a penny.
1
also people peeing on them can corrode the concrete through a chemical reaction
1
@BopperNoStopper i dont feel like looking it up but i learned about this from a news story where a bridge had failed and was attributed to homeless people peeing on the bridge supports over the years
1
