at a certain point, farming a monocrop of lavender or any other crop will deplete the soil of certain elements, or at least hit a wall as far as how much benefit it is creating.. unless they are using diverse cover crops and crop rotation, it will be extremely difficult for them to fully achieve the microbiological diversity needed to become what we would think of as “healthy” soil..

Louisiana has a bumper crop of wheat this year! Im sure its not enough to make a dent in the shortage, but its not like its impossible to grow wheat now.. you just have to grow it in different places maybe

yah im not satisfied with the amount of cover that soil is getting.. its completely exposed to the sun and just getting baked. As a regenerative agriculture nerd I am a big believer than exposed soil is a no, especially if you’re trying to rehab.. anyone who studies soil will tell you the same thing: cover, cover, cover! I hate to critique their operation because they are trying and doing at least some good, a lot better than most.. but this is a far cry from being truly regenerative.

all i know is coconut water brings me back from the bring of death on a daily basis.. i work outside in extreme heat and it is so much better than sports drinks at preventing dehydration and helps me to recover from heat exhaustion faster
