@Threetails he is making a weirdly veiled transphobic statement. There is a meme/stereotype about programmers becoming trans, which apparently starts with wearing women’s thigh high compression socks because they are supposed to be good for circulation when sitting at a computer desk for a long time… but its kind of ridiculous to think trans people are controlling the world when they are basically universally hated and oppressed. Transphobes seem to think that the existence of trans people is itself a form of oppression because it makes them uncomfortable, and they are perhaps too emotionally immature to confront the questions a non-conforming person raises in their minds, namely the fact that their own identities have largely been dictated to them by societal expectations and pressures, and that they have never allowed themselves the freedom to be who they truly are beyond what is expected by society.
