Mental illness is one thing, you can't take care of yourself so I sympathize with those who have mental issues and are homeless. They couldn't help themselves if they wanted to. But anyone else loves that lifestyle. Even if they are on drugs, they can help themselves if they want to. I was homeless and sleeping in the park just a year ago. I got a job, yes while I was homeless, and a month later I was off the streets. I moved into a hostel and eventually into my own place. It can be hard but it's very possible. And unless you love being homeless, you will do whatever it takes to get a roof over your head. A lot of people get used to the freedom of not having any responsibilities and free time all day.

Due to life's circumstances, I ended up having to sleep in City Park in New Orleans just a year ago. No one could tell I was homeless. I even got a job washing dishes, no one had a clue I was homeless. A month later I saved enough to move into a hostel. I kept working and a few months later was in my own place. Never panhandled, I took my butt to work and got myself off the streets. People who are mentally ill I do sympathize with, cause when your mind is gone it's pretty much impossible for you to have any long term stability. But anyone else just loves that lifestyle.

It's not Asian hate. There's tons of Asians in San Francisco, so of course they will experience crimes!!! If am Asian person is attacked automatically it's a hate crime????? You idiots are so gullible and easily manipulated.

Well black people have been AMD STILL ARE the biggest recipients of hate crimes since the FBI began collecting data. And the truth is no one cares. So cry me a river ..

@clovala well the statistics have shown, that blacks are targeted with hate crimes more than any other group. That's not just recently, that's for centuries, and still today. If you cared as much as you claim you would be appalled and up in arms about it. Somehow I don't think you are that concerned. But within months a bill is passed that protects Asians. Why, just this year a bill was passed that finally made lynching illegal. And this is America. It's full of hypocrisy and harbors a pecking order that contradicts all the claims of equality and all that jazz. Actions speak louder than words and it's clear as crystal what the message is. All this is just another reason to gang up on the big black Boogeyman, and no one passes up the opportunity. Apparently it's a national pastime, according to the statistics....

@Qrayon I'm saying if there's a mix of people doing it, why are you focusing on the black ones? Shouldn't they ALL be punished? Who cares who's doing it?????The majority of school shooters are white, so the f what? But even if the ratio is 9 to 1, you still have to include the in the statistics. So technically no, it's not just blacks attacking Asians...
