  1.  @kadenyt6623  I'm not angry about colonialism, but the fact that some of you refuse to recognise it. If colonialism should be forgotten, the Holocaust should be forgotten as well. Do you agree with that? I said our problems are mainly our governments, but colonialism should never ever be understated. You are probably the kind of people who complain about affirmative actions to minorities. As long as the effects exist, it's a matter of concern. Give me a better argument at least or accept that fact that our regimes and colonialism are just different faces of the same coin.

  2.  @coconut7490  peoples' lives will not necessarily improve, but it never did anyway during the DRC rule. So it maybe a zero sum game for them. EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE at this point. The thing is that a possible success is better than an assured failure. Plus, I hope this will teach the DRC officials hard lessons to improve their country, or make them very weak that they'd go away for good.

How do you want me to revolt against a government that uses a US made aircraft and an MI16 backed intelligence services? These institutions are made and maintained by former colonial powers. Just let them leave us, so we can rebel, ruin our countries for few years, and re-establish ourselves organically, just like how Europeans did it without foreign interventions.

Panama getting out of the Brlt and Road initiative doesn't mean China was developing the canal, but rather doing other projects, investments and businesses that had nothing to do with the canal. Basically, panama was forced to cut alot of trade deals with china that could've helped it reduce its inflation rates and induce job creation.

  43.  @yesyes3010  the only way for peace with a united Ethiopia and Eritrea is by dividing Eritrea into two (afar regions of both nations to unite (as afars want) and Eritrean tigre to be one region) and both Eritreans would be in the federal system of Ethiopia, and would get some more autonomy. Lastly, the government should make new social ties and revive the old socio-economic ties between Eritreans and Ethiopians, like the past, we must make intermarriages, Eritreans should come to Addis Ababa, 2 railway lines to be built, electricity from windy Eritrea and water from the water rich Ethiopia should be connected, agricultural products be taken to Eritrea and international trade coming from them, etc... just like before, if not more I believe only then it would be sustainable, especially since Eritreans are sick of their leader

I also thought of it, but the Ethiopian government might not thought of it, or they did but want a historic legacy for them in the future, a legacy of military success And most importantly, the aim might not be a sea outlet, but the reunification of Eritrea and Ethiopia

  49. @atintripathi5948  it depends on who you ask Those who want the imperial rule are the Orthodox Church Central Authority (but not the common Orthodox)(to restore their lost feudal lands) and Amharas (to restore their ethno-religious supremacy). As a non Amhara Muslim, that system was the worse for us, even the communist government, even though killing many Ethiopians in masses, gave us more equality than the emperor did. So, I would never wish his return, but some definitely do
