As an Ethiopian, I'm sad Rwanda is doing this, BUT I support Rwanda more. A basic study of statehood is that an incompetent state should be removed by a competent ones for the general betterment of humanity. DRC has a too big state for a too incompetent government. Rwanda has a (comparatively) too competent government for a too small state, might as well spread their prosperity, might as well take over my government this point. The fact that only 800 rebels were able to take a whole city from the DRC should tell you how incompetent is the DRC.

@Koranziza i just said it. Literally. Our government is very corrupt, but the reason it keeps being triumphant always is that it's better than all the other viable options on the table. If a clearly better option is offered, I'm going for it, even if that meant that Ethiopia as a state will be no more, and we're not mindless to know that this is not the best option for Ethiopia, which is in a much better condition than Rwanda or DRC. After all, isn't the betterment of human life, particularly through safety, security and cultural norms the basic reason why any and every state exist? If a state failed to deliver that, another state shall come to be.

If you study/know history well, Rwanda should win for good, maybe even allowed to formally annex these areas for all. DRC has already shown a great deal of incompetence with all the water wealth, land, natural resources, huge population, foreign aid, UN support, AU cooperation, etc... The fact that 800 rebels took a whole city from DRC is an enough sign that the DRC deserve to get reduced in size and the government need to be utterly humiliated as a lesson at least. What you just said about Rwanda shows us how genius and strategic their government is. They might even spread their prosperity to more people. Honestly, we Africans rn need more economic power than political rights, if Rwanda can offer this to the local Congolese, then they should be with Rwanda. Survival of the fittest should make the DRC go away as a state, and all for good

@Koranziza why are you seeing resources as a challenge and burden? The fact that the DRC had all that and is still failing is the surprising part. That's a limited mindset, you're making excuses for the failure of the DRC.

@Koranziza simply, if the state cannot deliver a strong and competent government, the state should be dissolved. My dear, you've seen 60 years of failure in the DRC, and at this point the state failure duration was 100%, you haven't seen any governorship from Rwanda yet, which had 50% success in the past 60 years (30 years of success). I'd forgo the DRC for Rwnada at this point, cuz even mathematically the multiplication difference between 0% success and 50% success rates is an Infinite ♾️ solution

@StopTheLiess personally, if the italians were fair to us, I wouldn't mind being absolutely banned from politics as a native. The main thing for me is to have a competent government and a just/fair state, I'm not racist, so I wouldn't mind a white or an indian to lead my country if he/she was good for us, the people.

@coconut7490 peoples' lives will not necessarily improve, but it never did anyway during the DRC rule. So it maybe a zero sum game for them. EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE at this point. The thing is that a possible success is better than an assured failure. Plus, I hope this will teach the DRC officials hard lessons to improve their country, or make them very weak that they'd go away for good.

@Eh-Mungu-Nguvu-Yetu-q8p it is well know that if the US tried to rule the whole world, it'd have fallen long ago. Now, the US administration is trying to do this, and for that reason I believe that rn we are living in the era of decline of the US empire. Also china. There's a limit every empire reached and got overextended. No country can rule the world, unless it's inclusive of everyone
