At least look at how Egypt attacked and got defeated several times at the borders without entering into the Ethiopian core in Ethiopia in the 19th under khideve Ismail, even when they had alot of popular and foreign support, and when they had greater economy with greater military built by Mohammad Ali of Egypt.   9.  @darkgalaxy5548  there is a point where the nile can be diverted to the rift valley, which will naturally and automatically lead to the red sea. So, it's not too hard to do it, but it's not worth it in anyways

Lol, if the dam got destructed, it will make a water explosion that will destruct Sudan and Egypt, and it is a gravity dam, so it can be rebuilt pretty quickly Plus, if Ethiopia got attacked, all of Ethiopia's civil wars and conflicts will end suddenly because of the popular support to the government (this happened also in 1978 when Somalia attacked, all oppositions halted themselves then, temporarily) And Ethiopia ls geography is hard for foreigners, we are found uphills

  12.  @brianjohnson5272  we are here talking about gerd, that is built on one side as power producing dam (small one), and on the other as a mountain that's hard to get destroyed. The dam saddle dam especially can be rebuilt relatively cheaply and quickly because the base would still exist and only small parts of it will get destroyed, the real problem is the power generating small dam, it's an easy target, it costed less than a billion dollars, but it's the most important one. It can be rebuilt within few years relatively cheaply but with high engineering professionals probably from China this time, not Ethiopian engineers. A gravity dam is built to withstand catastrophes like earthquakes as you have seen in turkiye. And yes Ethiopia will be united only temporarily, but when was Ethiopia ever in history united permanently? Ethiopia always unites against an enemy and after that fights itself, like now they're fighting themselves but when they fought Eritrea they got united, and even when Ethiopia fought Somalia

The repairs would cause perhaps 2 billion usd for the main dam fully and the structure dams partially.

  18.  @brianjohnson5272  the destruction of the dam might be beneficial for Ethiopia actually, that's because Ethiopia will get united again against a common foreign enemy And the dam is a gravity dam, so after the main dam get severely harmed, the dam can be rebuilt cheaply because you'll construct only the destructed part of the dam, that's because it's a gravity dam, at most 1 billion usd if Egypt used alooot of missiles, and the dam's price tag is 5 billion usd
