But on average, the US is not actually benefiting, only the runners from taxation are. Whether running from taxation is good or bad is not what I'm arguing on

  2. As long as patent rights on foods and medicines exist, nothing will improve. Especially considering that most foods and medical breakthroughs are made through government R&Ds, subsidies and using public resources, and then are sold for private profits.

  3. 10:00 this is the problem with simplistic scinece. The reason why animal calorie efficiency is low is because animals, not only make meat, but also make other parts we don't consider edible, but the environment does. Such as CO2 (for plants), skins and bones (we can use those parts, or the ecosystem can use it), their dungs (we can use as natural fertilisers, or the field can just benefit from), etc... We are not the only species on earth. We are exploiting earth, and we must return something to it. Basic science: "Energy Is Neither Created nor destroyed, it's transformed," so calories don't just dissappear.

It's about how you manage your resources About plastics and pollution, these are problems that must be solved legally, not demographically. Meaning that these must be banned, unless they can be broken down naturally or recyclable. Or the producers must dispose them by themselves
