@As-sbr alot of people are claiming to be Iranian. This is unprecedented. Did the government open the internet wide for you suddenly? Other times, when it was about iran, we barely saw a comment from you guys. Edit: even if vpn exist, did it just started to exist now?

@Swedishpolymath open? That's not even a choice. Iran should stay an islamic republic, but without the Ayatollah, that's because its most powerful elements wouldn't agree to such huge changes. This is the only best and possible way for progress for Iran. Politics is the art of possibilities, not fantasies But let's not act as if Iran is its own main problem, its sanctions. They were the most sanctioned before Russia in 2023. Edit: Some people find it hard to imagine that Iran is not the only problem. Who made Iran paranoid in the first place? Isn't it the decades of USSR, UK and US conspiracies?? We should understand their viewpoints. The others maybe the reason Iran is too conservative, and maybe these should be the one making the first and hardest step.

I doubt your claim about being Iranian. Many Iranians oppose the regime, but I've never seen an Iranian simpin this hard.

Shirvan, can you make a video about if Iran became globalist and secular, but not pro-western necessarily, will the west REALLY let them prosper? Considering that even if Iran actually got richer and stronger, it'd still be a threat to Israel, which wishes to be the single strongest in the middle east, even more than Saudi Arabia and Egypt. So, is there any real hope without being a satellite state for the US?

@kuil pakistan is a state owned by the military and intelligence services. So no, Iran is not like Pakistan without an Ayatollah.

@serebii666 1st, it's Iran, you can look it up. 2nd, Iran had alot to offer, especially with it's highly educated people. Sanctions are a hard fact, international trade is what allows for any worldwide industry to grow. The 1st fact negates your 2nd argument. 3rd, Iran is very corrupt and has alot of internal problems, we don't deny that. Not every blame goes to the west, but don't get mad when some is.

@ALN21000 yes, actually. If the US didn't conspire against Iran, the iranians would've been braver to revolt on their governments, without fearing that their revolt might get hijacked by foreigners

@Nanaucat and they think Iranian version of sharia, which historically includes alot of compulsion seen from the safavid era (and how a girl not wearing hijab was punished), and it's not the same with the sunni sharia, which has alot of traditions. There are notable differences, I'm not an expert at tho

The Iranian media is currently talking about how they'd make any agreement with the west using their new moderate/pro-globalism Prime Minister, since Trump wants an Iran totally without its current regime, not a friendly Iran.

@thebestof2341 my comment clearly said "without being a satellite of the US," as in the past, Iran was a US proxy. Being secular and globalist is different from being a US proxy.

As an Arab who dislikes Iran so much, being a national is not enough to be a patriot. You shouldn't simp like that, just say that your regime is a total failure. You're talking as if the west tech is, by nature, undefeatable whatsoever, like nobody should try to be free from them.

@sepehrnotfound8951 I understand you, perhaps more than you understand me, as I'm a person ready to ☠️ only to stumble my country's regime. We were never colonised, we have more population than Iran, we have the best climate in Africa with very little tropical diseases, with equally important natural resources as Iran. So, I'm also angry, but mindful. Cuz regardless, saying "this is what happens when you face western tech" is bs. Western tech is not superior because it comes from THE WEST, but because it's more spent on and effortfully studied, something that's respectfully appreciated and we should replicate, as history proved we should. The way he said it sounds like a serious self-inferiority complex issue.
