Remember, the South didn't have manufacturing plants before or during the Civil War which contributed mightily to their loss. God forbid we are engaged in a real "hot" war. Blockaded ports, a disabled fleet, grounded air force, immobile army men and materiel, and a Marine Corps unable to deploy...we'd be brought to our knees. What's that, you say? Use nukes? Nobody on the planet survives that, short- or long-term.

  10. @gtcitreon453  I remember post WW II cars. My father was on a waiting list for one and he paid for it in full on delivery. We built good, safe, reliable, and affordable cars then. We can do it again. Save your snark for someone who might be affected by it. I am not.
