  1. Neil deGrasse Tyson--Don't worry about what people think of your beliefs (as if you would, anyway). It doesn't matter if you're a deist, an agnostic, an atheist, a wiccan, a Rastofarian...whatever. You have the right to believe (or not) the way you wish. I personally think you are a worthy successor to Dr. Carl Sagan and I am introducing my three grandchildren to the wonders of our Cosmos through your series.

  2. When Tyson starts talking about how leap years, etc., are calculated @ 6:00 or so...I learned that in fourth grade, 1959. It USED to be part of the math and science curriculum for elementary school. It's no longer taught. Neither are Roman Numerals (which help you navigate the first pages of non-fiction reference books and college texts). There is so much our children aren't learning and Tyson's interview makes this painfully obvious. What used to be termed "cultural literacy" is absent from public school education.
