Di--You'd think that the ballet companies would host them to at least a matinee, wouldn't you? A theater once sent fourth row seats to a barrio 8th grade class I was teaching at the time. The company put on Giselle for them. They were transfixed, awed, and, afterward, incredibly enthusiastic about ballet. Prior to the show, they thought ballet was for "sissies"; afterward, they wanted to take classes.

Michael the Archangel is the warrier angel. Gabriel is a messenger archangel. No angels in the nine choirs (angels, principalities, archangels; powers, virtues, dominions; thrones, seraphim, cherubim) have the authority to command except when God gives them that assignment (think Jonah and Balaam). . I do have to laugh at these "finds", though. They are ALWAYS missing a "critical" piece that is either obliterated or missing totally.

Tristan--You are closer to the truth than you know. Living near (NOT in) San Bernardiino city will open your eyes to the fact that the African-American ghetto residents fully intend to have different laws applied to them than to other groups.

Luther also married an ex-nun.

Andre Cacas--Ever been pulled over by a cop at gunpoint for speeding--even when your decal indicates you are either a deputy or the spouse of one? I have--with a four-year-old in the car on her way to Catholic School and in uniform (we were running REALLY late)? I have. I suppose I could claim racial and gender profiliing...driving while being a Lithuanian, Catholic, CHP spuse and mother of his children.

Making pointe shoes is art as well as skill. When these dedicated souls retire, who will replace them? When pointe shoe manufacturing companies shut down, who will make quality shoes for the danseurs and danseuses?

Notice they said that the possibility of extracting dinosaur DNA was extremely low. They never said they weren't going to TRY. In the immortal words of Dr. Ian Malcom: "Yeah, yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should."

kon720--I suppose that's National Geographics attempt at being relevant to Millennials. However, the narrative does remind me of some of the last scenes in "Step Brothers". "Dr. Doback " is explaining to his son that, when he was a boy, he pretended to be a T-Rex. He explained how he made his arms look short, and perfected his growl and his roar and how he terrorized his neighbors as a boy. He'd have made a GREAT anaconda...except they don't roar.

When I lived near my grandparents' poultry farm, we had a small army of cats who kept the mice and rodent population under control. Corn cribs, granaries, and the rooms in the chicken coop where the grains were mixed to feed the poultry were prime targets for the critters and those critters also attracted snakes (egg-eaters). Keeping rodents controlled meant fewer slithery reptiles as well as healthier poultry. So, we really didn't care where they roamed. My grandfather called them "working cats". Sadly the farm no longer exists and the cats I've had in my adult life NEVER roam--they are NEVER out of the house.

Any teacher of primary students can attest to the fact that it only takes one child to hurl and all the rest of them are gagging. Since they are young, they don't always get much warning that they are about to puke. It's usually, " Teacher, I'm going to...bleaugh" and then the epidemic strikes. It takes forever to get the stench out of the carpet.

Akron Ohio--For the same reason that Trolls abound. Some people are just mean-spirited, stupid, or both.

Andre Cacas--I provided a link to the government's statistics on traffic stats. There are many statistical profiles and numbers available on that link. Look them up.

You'd think that a prestigious entity such as National Geographic and its employees would know that the correct pluralization of "nebula" is "nebulae". Using "nebulas" as the plural of "nebula" just shows how far a fall our education system in the USA has had.
