  2. @michaelp9707  I refused to enter the water to swim in our local lake because I was convinced the Gillman was swimming neneath me. Fast forward to 2022. My four year old granddaughter watched "The Creature From the Black Lagoon" with her mama (my daughter) and me. I still couldn't watch the Gillman swimming beneath the woman. My four year old granddaughter--the same age as I was in 1954--laughed at that scene. Didn't scare her one bit. What a difference 6-plus decades makes.
