@ No, if you know both titles you cannot mix them up. It's not about being similar, it's about being near identical. The thing that would fall under the law would be something like "pikachu but with two tails". Pals are legally distinct. Once again, if they weren't N would sue them instantly. There're whole compilations of what Pokemon took from Dragon Quest. And they did it exactly the same reason Palworld did. They legally can.

@landonpoland5092 No they don't. The only way you can have a case is if you can reasonably mix them up. You can easily distinguish which is a pal and which is a pokemon so it's just inspiration. "Legally distinct" it is called. And you seriously think that the company that already filed a suit for over 30 patents (and lost for all but 1 lol) wouldn't file for something as obvious? Their designs were stolen from Dragon Quest in the first place, like, what are we even talking about?

@landonpoland5092 law wise they are not. Otherwise they got another lawsuit at them. And Nintendo knows it. Don't know why their fans don't though.
