@philpugliese7049 The administration of a social safety net is not the problem. See various immigrant communities and millions of others that received aid when needed then quickly transitioned to solid citizens. The real problem is the unabated toxic Black culture. A culture that sneers at education, self-improvement and having your newborns do better than yourself. This same culture rejects most criticisms as racist and flashes the "card" of ignorance whenever challenged.

Yikes, this woman looks like she just crawled out of the super dome after Katrina. She seems brain damaged. Thus, she is a good example of a Philadelphia toxic mom. Don't worry folks there are plenty just like her to go around. Just great.

@tjones2550 Excuses excuses. Solid couples find a way or at the very least see moving out as a temporary solution. Additionally, most of the fatherless households today have little to do with poorly enforced welfare rules. This is not about race it is about chronically generational poor. Bottom line, it is about toxic culture.

@tjones2550 You are joking right? First, I'm not talking about all women of color but toxic mothers and yes there are too many toxic mothers of color. Philly is full of mothers like this woman, willfully ignorant, full of excuses and detached from reality. There is a culture of willful ignorance, toxic child rearing and excuse making unique to the culture of the hard core generational poor. This woman would make a good poster child for this societal sickness.I'd advise you to think of this woman and the tens of thousand of women similar to her every time you hear about a senseless homicide. One last point I have interacted with black women in Philly for decades and most were not nearly as bad as this woman but too many of these women had dismissive attitudes toward young men and their children's fathers. It is just sad.
