Comments by "Moral Threat" (@moralthreat2745) on "Encampment protesting sale of West Philadelphia affordable housing unit shut down by police" video.
Philly needs more residents that know how to raise their children properly. Philly culture needs to start leaning towards, self improvement, raising their economic IQ and to start looking inward for help. Oh and it would not hurt if people worried less about sneaker culture and Beyonce and focused more on generational wealth.

Okay, a couple things for these nice protestors. Get a job. Make better life decisions. Educate yourselves. Oh, and section 8 is not supposed to last forever if you are able bodied.

Please do think before you post. First off the subject is affordable housing. This is about a group of people that have made really poor life choices. Here is a quarter, go buy a clue.

@K Golphin I've been there in a bad way financially and physically. I made it out with the help of my wife (a good life decision) and self reliance. What I did not do was sit in a crappy situation and cry like a petulant child when it ended. Voucher housing is normally the result of a lifetime of poor decision making. These people are freeloaders. Shame on them.

I learned early that the financial wolf was never far from my front door. I conducted my life in good times and bad with that mindset. My life has not been what most would call easy, but I always worked no matter how awful the jobs and the hours were. I still live by the wing walkers code today when it comes to earning a living. You don’t release a grip until gain another firm grip. I'll bet most of these unhoused people are in their current situation due to unforced life errors like alcohol, drugs, and poor spouse selection. I wish these people no ill but believe they need to step up and make some tough decisions to get on the right path. Most homeless have metal health and addiction problems. I am not saying our society should not intervene on their behalf as they do in countries like Finland and Sweden. But people should aspire to and live responsibly.

@Marella2024 Wow, you know nothing of me and yet you make a statement like that. Are you sure you are not speaking to yourself? Believe me, luck does figure into all our lives but what sustains most people is how they live their life in between the good fortune and bad times. Also, beware the path of victim-hood and bitter grievance. That only think that leads to is self sustaining defeat.

@Marella2024 What makes you think I don't know people that have been homeless or grew up with horrible parents? It has been my experience with these interactions (family) that those that take ownership of their lives find self-sustaining security and a better life. The ones that seem to always blame the "other" for their circumstances continue the dark path. Have you ever asked yourself, how do immigrants arriving here penniless and no English language skills manage to stay housed and thrive? I’m betting you do not. Please do better. Also, I ask for forgiveness for my original snippy response to your comment. I got personal and that was wrong.
