  1. "Bring it on! Let Democracy decide!" What you are asking for it's called a NATIONAL REFERENDUM on just one issue and one only: traditional marriage vs. same-sex marriage. THAT'S TRUE DEMOCRACY. And everybody MUST respect the final result no matter what, but again, NATIONAL REFERENDUM and not a general election that was mostly based on economical issues and antipathy towards a (maybe) very unpopular political leader, Sarchozy. So far using majority in Parliament to rewrite history. Democracy?

Elections DO have consequences, nobody forced French ppl to give an absolute majority in Parliament to damn leftist SOCIALISTS, right?   4. Can I tell you some facts? At least 90% of us who oppose same-sex marriage are strongly in favor of full benefits for same-sex couples, work place, pension, private property, death, etc., no difference btwn a hetero and a homosexual couple when it comes to personal benefits, I personally hate when somebody brings hatred towards same-sex couples, they are like anybody else BUT leave the traditional marriage as it is, as it's been for thousands of years so we all gonna live in peace and harmony.

One male or female with 2+ spouses of same or opposite sex OR mother or father wanted to marry her/his son or daughter, and maybe more other creepy cases, all are gonna ask for the same "human rights" & "progressive" laws that govern homosexual marriage, how you're gonna be able to say NO to them now that you have widely open the Pandora's Box for the first time in THOUSANDS of years? You can't. And that's how liberalism really smells, or rather stinks.

Media and the educational system, 90% leftist liberal, have been the masterminds of this radical cultural change in todays W EU, but it started long time ago, in the '60s I think, so they've had time to create the proper environment for the current AND next generation to reject anything that's not liberal, freedom of speech included when that freedom of speech does not sit well with their paranoiac idiotic left-wing views. "I'd support a referendum" EXCELLENT, unfortunately there wont be any such national referendum on same-sex marriage b/c, and here the best ex possible: '03-'05 Canada, unelected liberal judges unilaterally declared that traditional marriage is unconstitutional so the govt MUST change the official definition of marriage, LIBERAL govt of that time agreed with the court ruling, 75% of the Canadians demanded a national referendum, NEVER HAPPENED, that's how same-sex marriage was legalized in Canada.

Is it gonna be a national referendum on the marriage issue or the result of the last election (when the marriage issue has not been part of the election debate at all) has already counted for the "will of the ppl" agreeing with the same-sex marriage? Remember your own words "Bring it on! Let Democracy decide!"? NATIONAL REFERENDUM ON THE MARRIAGE ISSUE = DEMOCRACY.
