For those that strongly believe in EU and keep on wasting TONS of money on these type of countries, I personally think it's a kind of ideological PRIDE in what EU represents for THEM, social justice, social democracy, easy to control hundreds of millions of totally different ppl, one big bureaucracy-controlled policy for everybody, etc. therefore giving up on those losers like CY, GR, SP, POR would be like giving up on their own social democratic dream they have created for such a long time.
