"Two language signs means it could become very confusing for foreigners trying to get lost" EXCELLENT point, I'd rather make signs in the country's official language PLUS English, that's how you smartly combine patriotism for the local citizens AND openness to tourists who don't need a hard time to read the signs in a language they don't understand and don't need after they left visiting that particular country. Those ppl in that area might start a (new) war over language signs now. LOL

  2. Nobody should forget the past BUT try to move on for the better of your own country, for a better future of your ppl, your family, your kids, for the next generations to come. My personal take on this insignificant issue: western media LOVES confrontation and when cannot get it entirely it creates one or many, they wouldn't mind seeing croats and serbs start a new war and kill each other over anything, the Yugoslav War of the '90s was what Western World AND media was waiting for for a long time.

  3. Hey grandma, you should stick with staying around your grandkids rather than making idiotic statements. In Canada we have two OFFICIAL languages, English and French, but French signs are almost nonexistent outside Quebec, come to TORONTO where I live and if you find me a French sign, traffic or whatever, I'll pay you the whole stay in town for your entire family. In Croatia is just ONE official language, CROATIAN, make Serbian language 2nd official language and then put up new signs in Serbian.

"Vancouver's airport is multilingual" Major CDN airports, Toronto's Pearson (the largest in CDA) are FEDERAL jurisdiction therefore signs in both official languages, I guess the same for Montreal's airport (s). For other languages, chines for instance, local decisions only. Ontario hwys are provincial jurisdiction, the only signs in French are for East, West, North and South, THAT'S IT, Ontario Liberals put them up after they came to power in '03. Ontario is officially unilingual, English only.

PPL should demand laws that help improving their economical and financial future rather than crying out like little babies over some stupid traffic signs.

"According to the UN protocols 35% of population is enough for dual-language signs" Who the hell gives a damn on a damn SOCIALIST anti-capitalistic organization that has ZERO jurisdiction over laws in ANY country, only the ppl in that particular country can decide what's good or bad for them. Did you see any damn French signs in Vancouver? Less than 10% of Canadians speak French outside Quebec.
