If you're able to legally rent a car = you legally have a driving license (DL), the logical reason to get a DL is to buy your OWN car, therefore what's the need to rent a car especially for going on a long vacation where only using your own vehicle can give you the ultimate FREEDOM OF THE OPEN ROAD, you, the OWNER of the car, make the rules on YOUR OWN car, drive it where you want, how long you want, in any way you want. Unless something wrong with your car, no need to rent a car, never ever.
