Seen from MY side of the Atlantic, YES you're correct, BUT in today's EU David Cameron and his party is considered pretty much extreme or far-right, in today's EU normal = liberalism and anything that goes to the right = extremism. I live in Canada and I'm a conservative, David Cameron would have never made it as member of our Conservative Party (pro-traditional marriage, pro-life, anti-global warming policies, etc.), maybe member of our Liberal Party, politics in NA very different than in EU.

  2. You can watch ANY American TV media on line and free, CNN, MSNBC and FNC included, SkyNews & BBC as well. For today's generation or how I like to call it, Obamanation, social issues (s-s marriage, free contraceptives and abortion, global warming policies) are paramount, also they would always vote for a politician that give them everything for free, large govt-subsidized social entitlements, also they do not care about high taxes OR national debt or deficit. 90% of all 16-30 yo are very leftist.

  3. In CDA, Conservative Party (in power for ~7 yrs) is pretty much identical with the Republicans in the States, socially AND fiscally. Obama is the first POTUS with more corporate donations than any previous President, Bush included, but b/c he is in favor of same-sex marriage, abortion, global warming policies, anti-war, pro-gun control, pro-unions, pro-illegal immigration, etc., it's pretty much taboo to show negative stories about him (unless you watch Fox News), corporate donations included.

"corporate sheeps" That's what I've been hearing since 2008 with Obama. As a conservative I do not believe in MAN-MADE global warming, I'm also STRONGLY against any gas/carbon/enviro taxes of any kind, luckily no such thing in Canada, $1.2/litre reg gas in Toronto. "you only divide the world in to Conservative or Liberal" YES, you mean Ron Paul-type libertarian?

I'm STRONGLY against "free" healthcare, education and rest of social entitlements. Lower taxes, more money in ppl's pockets so they can buy their own PRIVATE healthcare insurance also no more high salaries, pensions and rest of benefits for public sector teachers that at the end make tuition very expensive for ALL students.

First of all nothing is free, all has to be paid by EVERYBODY aka collectivism thru high taxes, the larger and costly the "free" program, the higher taxes on everybody regardless of their income.   10. Why is this news? On Aug 5, 2011 Standard & Poor (S&P) downgraded U.S. Federal Govt credit rating from AAA to AA+ and Obama kept on borrowing $50K/SECOND and got re-elected. But there is difference btwn the U.S. case and UK case: Obama LIBERAL, Mainstream Media (Euronews included) LIBERAL as well, so they both work together to implement LIBERAL policies, on the other hand UK's Govt not much of a liberal therefore the main target of LIBERAL media. Case solved.

That might be true but on mainstream media (ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, MSNBC) at least 3 times more positive Obama stories than positive Romney stories and maybe 5 times more negative Romney stories than negative Obama stories. On social networks, YT, Facebook, Twitter, liberal causes (same-sex marriage, abortion, global warming, illegal immigration) heavily outnumber traditionally conservative causes, fiscal responsibility included.
