  1. @icemilf Here is the deal: your gov borrowed money from any financial institution willing to land you money (nobody is forced to help you out financially), in this case UK and Dutch banks, or whatever other banks, all private of course (you wanna do business with Cuban banks?), so they helped your gov with money so your gov will pay for the, I guess, large welfare social programs, now, those banks (like anybody else) didn't land that money for FREE, so they want their money back, end of story.

  2. @icemilf No man (I guess language barriers), those banks landed money to your gov (or the other way, your gov borrowed money from those banks), your gov needed the money to pay for the huge social welfare programs (free healthcare/education/pensions/etc, no such freebies in CDA & USA) it provides for its own citizens, so they (your gov) BORROWED money from those banks and now MUST pay it back, if u don't do that nobody is gonna land you any money in the future to pay for free HC, education, etc.

So let me understand, when your next-door neighbor comes to you begging to help him/her with some money in order to pay his/her rent or mortgage, and he/she promises will pay YOU back in a reasonable time as stated in the mutual agreement/contract, so YOU will say "it's OK not to pay me back", is that how you guys operate in your little left wing world??? And do you think that anybody is gonna land any money to those ignorant ppl after they rejected to pay back the loan? I wouldn't.
