  1. I don't get it: this individual killed 31 ppl and got 45 years in prison but Anders Breivik, the Norwegian TERRORIST, killed 77 innocent ppl and got only 21 years. Something is wrong here or am I missing something?

Life in prison w/o any chance for parole for hardcore convicted criminal is the way to go, that's REAL justice for the victims, family members, etc., they lost the loved ones including young sons and daughters while convicted criminals get to live until they die of natural causes UNLESS... your cell neighbors have a different "opinion" on you, if you know what I mean LOL Many things can happen in the next 20 yrs, but theoretically he can be free at still a young age, 55-60 yo, right? Be safe.

Why do you make excuses to justify one very soft judgement against somebody who killed 77 innocent ppl but you are very strong against another person who killed fewer innocent individuals? Both should have gotten the DEATH penalty or at least LIFE IN PRISON w/o chance for parole. Period.

Canada sadly has no death penalty BUT tons of LIFE sentences with NO chance of parole for at least 25 years if any, for instance the Paul Bernardo case (explained on Wikipedia), he killed two teenage girl in mid-90s and he got LIFE in prison W/O any chance of parole. Most EU countries and especially Socialist Scandinavian ones strongly believe in soft penalties for ANYBODY, convicted criminals included, it's mostly left-wing ideology rather than clear and strong justice for the victims.
