For Euronews: why did you use the very inflammatory and aggressive word of "attack"? ATTACK = CRIME, so in your POV it's a crime to oppose Gay marriage, right? Why not: "Catholic Church in UK opposes Gay Marriage", too soft for your very liberal POV?

@newalbion At one point LIBERAL COURTS are gonna have the last word on this very hot issue, in CDA same-sex marriage was ORDERED by UNELECTED JUDGES in '03, reason: human rights discrimination, at that time ~75% of CDNs was asking publicly for a national referendum but the LIBERAL gov of that time led by "catholic" Jean Chretien (from Quebec, overwhelmingly catholic) considered that human rights trump religious freedoms so that's how same-sex marriage is now legal in CDA.

@trevortrevortsr2 I said CIVIL UNION and NOT (CIVIL and/or RELIGIOUS) MARRIAGE, totally different entities.

@trevortrevortsr2 Civil Union is NOT Marriage, but it gives same-sex couples pretty much same benefits as for married couples. End of story.

@newalbion As a TRUE conservative, socially & fiscally, I FULLY agree with anything you just said. No conservative is against same-sex civil unions + partnership benefits, hospital visits and many other work-related accomodations BUT mariage is one man - one woman. Period. And if that's make us bigots, so be it.
