@Grawfighter123 I went to Wikipedia and search for the political party of your PM Julia Gillard: LABOR Party, that explains EVERYTHING, she was elected by the UNIONS, unions are the core of ANY labor party in ANY country, in CDA Labor Party is called NDP (in reality the Socialist Party of CDA), so that's why your PM never forced Qantas back to work BEFORE they went on strike. 2-3 weeks ago Air Canada did the very same thing, they were ORDERED back to work 1 day BEFORE the strike was to begin.

@Englishgrammar "You are calling for trade unionists to be ORDERED back to work or be locked up." Not me, the LAW, CDN LAW. It's called BACK-TO-WORK legislation, 2-3 weeks ago Air CDA union ppl decided to go on strike like Qantas or Air France, one day before they were just about to start the strike our CONSERVATIVE gov ORDERED them back to work, so the strike never started. They would have faced harsh fines, getting fired or even jail time if they would had carried on with the strike.

Air Canada is never allowed to go on strike, as soon as they threaten doing it the gov orders them back to work (allowed by back-to-work legislation in place for many many years) and if they don't do it they can face jail time or at least being fired by Air Canada executive management. Why no such law in Australia as well???
