Hundreds of thousands of Bengalis are domestic migrants within states of India eking out a living - performing basic jobs to high intensity IT - perhaps concentrated in Karnataka and Maharashtra . Bengal is truly a basket case today much after the left government drove away industries to far flung Gujarat and Maharashtra .
