  1. Apparently Portuguese were more brutal towards native Indians than Brits . Pandit ji had the courage to send in Indian army and capture Goa however fleeing Portuguese took all the Gold within their vaults back . Gold were later retrieved by the help of then President of India late Venkatraghavan .
