  1. The biggest problem imo is the US education system that fails to provide enough quality education to its citizens. Education is treated as a commodity which then benefits just a few. Add to this the paranoia driven business model of US social media, science illiteracy is now a world wide problem. For example, no one has every heard of QAnon in Europe before. By the time that nonsense got over here, millions of Americans have already signed it. So it has to be true. America supports an extreme form of capitalism that threatens to destroy democracies everywhere.
