  1. Is this a Dutch phenomenon? Software engineering demand isn’t really rising, nor are salary brackets. What’s happening is people getting replaced by cheaper workers from India and Eastern Europe, and seniors being backed by AI. There are more workers than jobs, so companies raise the skill bar and hiring feels like a multi-phase survival game where they can afford to wait. You end up doing more for less you have to be the janitor who can also fix the wiring. So no these are not good times for workers .
