As far as I can observe, American politics seems to be divided into two camps. Capitalists with a pro-gun, anti-abortion agenda, and capitalists with an anti-gun, pro-abortion agenda. Basically capitalists fighting over cultural and religious issues. Authentic Marxists or Socialists appear to be extremely rare in mainstream media, let alone in politics.
