  2. We've seen immense accumulation of wealth over the past decades thanks to increased productivity through out the world. Yet, we're being reminded and told on a daily basis to work harder, work longer hours and be more productive and even die sooner (life expectancy of the poor and middle class in the UK and US keeps falling). So where is all that growth and productivity going to? One would expect retirement at the age of 40 should be possible by now, right? Or at least buying property feasible within a life time? However the opposite is the case.
