If the cost of living is going up while the income or paychecks stay the same then how is it not an income problem ? If the rent price is going up and you don’t make enough it has to be an income problem

PBD is talking about the people who live beyond their means and ignoring the fact that the cost of living is going up which means rents and mortgages are going up plus inflation on everything while the average American (who’s not over spending) wages or paychecks stay the same. That sounds like a income problem to me, if someone’s rent is $800 and over time the cost of living goes up and the rent jumps to $1200 over the years then they can’t afford it anymore because there paychecks stayed the same thru out those years, it’s definitely an income problem

The average American can’t afford to save money because the cost of living is so high that after they pay the rent the bills and groceries it’s nothing left to save. The cost of living and inflation goes up while the wages stay the same, plus you guys don’t want them to raise minimum wage to a livable wage so how do you expect average Americans living paycheck to paycheck to save anything when there income doesn’t go up?

@thewiseguy390 so how is this not an income problem if the average American can’t afford anything not even a one bedroom apartment or a studio apartment and can’t buy food with the money they make now? How can they save when everything is going towards bills

@mimilee4890 easier said than done most people might not be qualified to get the higher paying job and probably already working 2 jobs. All I’m saying is with inflation and the cost of living constantly increasing the most average Americans can’t afford to save anything and spending everything on rent and bills. It’s a lot of people struggling living paycheck to paycheck not from over spending it’s their income isn’t enough

@iwarrior89 why ? Are they going to bring the cost of living down and make life more affordable? Because people were still struggling and had this same problem when trump was in office

People were struggling and living paycheck to paycheck before Covid
