  1. Maybe I'm just stupid, but isn't it kind of a bad strategy to try to time the market? IMO, all you need to do is buy and hold. Following the news is not as important as people think.

  2.  @JJ-wr7dc  haha good point. There have been some tech stocks that I have long term conviction in, but have FOMOed into. There is a genetic testing company called Invitae (NVTA), which I FOMOed into at 47, thinking I got a great deal. Next thing you know the price drops to 25. I am still super bullish on it in the long term, but looking back, maybe I should have tried to dollar cost average to get a lower cost basis
