@bgoodfella7413 your border is porous because it's huge. And every cycle, repubs will talk about securing the border but for some reason never seem to actually secure it and the reason for that is that not only are borders just a talking point to them, there isn't really an amount of troops and technology that can reach the tightness their voters are looking for.

there are no open borders anywhere on the planet and that includes the US. And a welfare state can perfectly well (as it kinda already does) target it's help towards citizens. So you are doubly wrong there ^^.

@bgoodfella7413 hehe true... might have to do with living standards and citizens's rights. This being said, when we impose blockades on NK and a famine ensues, lots of their citizens rush towards China.

The US has always focused on itself... it can have backfired, got glued in special interest mic macs and so on but it never was that paragon of self-sacrifice some people think it has been. The problem is that the US has nearly always focused on the wantings of special interests and not on the needs of the commoner. UBI and get done with it.
