  1. Senad Elezovic Scandinavians and Dutch are indeed Germanic, but do you think the average US citizen knows that? This being said, "are different groups" doesn't mean that much. I will agree that you are more right than I'd be asserting the opposite.

  2. Senad Elezovic I'm a know nothing on the subject so I can't validate the following... maybe you can: "Arabic language was the base of about 70% of the Turkish language. But after Kamal Ataturk ruled, he changed the country s language in a dramatic way that made over 60% of even Turkish citizens ignorant of their own language The new language is a collection of 30% Arabic, about 6000 French words, Kurdish, Farsi, Iranian languages and this is the current Turkish speaking language ". If that is true, it would kinda limit how strong the language argument is. They also have been under the same ruler and share the same religion and are somewhat close geographically. This being said, I do think you are right.

  4. He just slipped. I don't think he believes Netherlands is Scandinavian. This being said, wtf does an American know what countries are part of Scandinavia thousands of kilometers away. Heck, I live a couple thousands of ks away from Turkey and Iran, and most people here think they are Arabs. The difference is my country doesn't have people (usually republicans) musing about bombing the s*** out of other countries... and our army is well, pretty pathetic anyway (just the way I like it) :D.
