James is a terrible speaker. He inconsistently pauses, doesn't provide good content in his material, and is very boring. It's ridiculous that people give so many likes to this subseries.

"Fluff"? Seriously? This segment is dedicated to people who don't play fighting games on the regular. Most good fighting games have a reason for all those unique moves (high, mids, lows, techs, juggles, etc). Positioning and timing and mind games has always are about that. This dude knows nothing about fighting games.

IIRC, the Sonic Advance series (and many other Sonic games on handheld) have separate attack buttons. This design decision is most likely influenced from those Sonic games.

MXCoriginal He may have industry experience but that doesn't excuse his terrible public speaking skills. I have industry experience as well, so I have just as much right to say (but even if I didn't have experience I have just as much right as a human being). Also, his content in the video is just a summary of a handful of highly rated reviews on from the Steam reviews of this game. He provides nothing new to the table. He doesn't even provide anything thought provoking. So the least can do is making sound good.

There are reasons for long combo chains. It's usually a good way to keep a juggle going.

Game looks great, but not because of what James said. Also, James is a terrible speaker still (yes I will keep complaining until he gets better). He just doesn't' know how to speak to an audience.

Dead_Parade How is it spiteful? It's my honest opinion.

I've made video games too. That doesn't mean much at all.

O wow. That was a dumb comment. There are too many people on this video who don't know much about fighitng games. The reason why they have long chains of combos (other than to be flashy) is to have a non-braindead way of keeping an opponent in a state. It's like in rhythm games.

***** Although you're disagreeing with a minor point in a later comment...you're agreeing with my whole point above (and proving my original statement correct). James was wrong when he called the move variety and combos "fluff".
