@interdimensionalwitch3725 No one is incarcerated for being gay in developed countries. And plenty of other people get murdered and tortured for different reasons. So again why is sexuality specifically special ?

@genuinerodent5243 just because you have a right to do something doesnt mean you should do it. Lile really what is their to be prideful in ? You don't choose your sexuality, its not something you work for to obtain. It doesn't take any effort to be either gay or straight .

@genuinerodent5243 You cant use someones level of "privilege" as a source of measure considering how amorphous it is. In some ways i'm less privileged than some gay people. Someone's level of privileged doesn't make their opinions invalid. Everyone has some sort of privilege compared to others. "So many people have to fight and work for their pride in their sexuality" yeah that's my point, they shouldn't have pride or shame in their sexuality, no one should. Again its a strange thing to feel prideful of I find. And sure ive never been harassed because of sexuality, but there are other reasons that people can be harassed. I'm not sure why sexuality takes precedent over really any of those other ones. Especially since sexuality is one of the ones where its a lot harder for people to actually find out about you in the first place. Its not like someone can just tell at a glance.

@Eryna_ Compared to what though ? There are lots of reasons people get bullied in society.

@interdimensionalwitch3725 Conversion therapy isn't mandatory, its between either a parent and child or someone who willingly chooses to go to conversion therapy, Trans panic laws don't exactly say you can murder them in self defense but even if they did say that isn't that the right thing to do ? If someone assaults' you and they end up dying from you defending yourself from them then isn't that an acceptable loss ? Also no trans women aren't what is being incarcerated at higher rates, its black men that get imprisoned in higher proportions than the general population and since there are quite a few transgender men in the black community it scues that statistic. Gay marriage becoming legal is irrelevant as it isn't something that harms gay people directly. And yes other countries do have violence against queer people. All countries do, and all countries always will, because violence will never just go away. But obviously some countries have a worse problem with it than America. Such as maybe iran? Saudi Arabia ?
